Spurs matchday, fan first

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is the starting point for everything. One of Europe's newest multi-use grounds, it sits on the High Road in N17 a short walk from White Hart Lane Overground. Away fans are housed in the northeast corner; home fans spread across four stands. The stadium runs its own microbrewery (Beavertown) and a food market in the South Stand. Limited hotels sit directly nearby, so most visiting fans base themselves in Liverpool Street or Tottenham Hale and travel in. The club runs an official shuttle service to Alexandra Palace and Wood Green stations. Membership through One Hotspur is the practical route to home tickets; most fixtures sell out before general sale.

Club facts and honours

Founded in 1882 as Hotspur FC by schoolboys connected to a local cricket club, the renamed Tottenham Hotspur joined the Football League in 1908. The club's most celebrated era came under manager Bill Nicholson, whose side won the First Division and FA Cup Double in 1960-61 — the first in English football in the twentieth century — and the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1963, making Spurs the first British club to win a major European trophy. A second UEFA Cup was added in 1984 and a third Europa League title in 2025. The club moved into Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2019, a 62,850-capacity ground built on the White Hart Lane site.

The club states that home tickets are unlikely to reach general sale and are usually sold out within the member tiers. Season Ticket holders are given priority. Remaining tickets open to One Hotspur+ then One Hotspur members. Oversubscribed fixtures are allocated by the club's ticketing points scheme. The club warns that buying from unofficial sources carries risk of invalid tickets.

Market Place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

at stadium · neutral · mid range

The stadium's main South Stand food-and-drink hub. Strong option for fans who want to eat inside the ground rather than risk pub queues on the High Road.

The official food-and-drink page lists more than 58 general-admission outlets, with the Marketplace, Goal Line Bar and Beavertown Brewery all tied to the South Stand offer.

keep with caveat: The official club food-and-drink page confirms the Marketplace/Goal Line Bar/Beavertown setup and current general-admission outlet count. Menus and outlet mix still move season by season.

Beavertown Brewery inside Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

at stadium · home · mid range

The world's first microbrewery inside a football stadium, producing up to 1 million pints of Beavertown craft beer a year. Located in the South Stand.

Produces Beavertown beers including Neck Oil and Gamma Ray on site. Matchday access via normal concourse entry — no separate booking needed for the concourse bars.

keep with caveat: Stadium microbrewery confirmed by Wikipedia. Beavertown's standalone taproom (Tottenham Hale, N17 9QP) is a separate venue and appears open as of June 2026 (Sat/Sun). Corner Pin pub (732 High Road) is separately temporarily closed since March 2025. Do not list either as an in-stadium alternative.

Antwerp Arms

walkable to stadium · neutral · mid range

Community-owned real-ale pub near Bruce Castle Park, repeatedly listed in away-fan pub guides as a practical pre-match option.

Pub-food and real-ale stop rather than a full restaurant plan. Best treated as a drink-first option.

keep with caveat: Official pub site confirms the venue and community-pub/real-ale positioning. Football Ground Guide and a 2025 Fulham Supporters' Trust away guide both list it for visiting supporters.

The market reopened to the public in August 2025 with 36 traders and an outdoor food court including South American food and coffee options.

keep with caveat: Official Seven Sisters Market page confirms reopening, trader count and food-court style offer. Time Out covered the 2025 reopening after the long closure.

Named pub option around an 18-minute walk from the stadium; the pub's own site positions it as a matchday spot for home and away fans.

Pub-food and drinks option; use as a named alternative to Antwerp Arms when fans want a livelier sports-bar setting.

keep with caveat: The Beehive's official site explicitly positions it as a Spurs matchday spot for both home and away fans. Football Ground Guide lists it as an away-fan pub option.

Old Spitalfields Market

Liverpool Street/Shoreditch food option for away fans or overnighters who want a proper London food choice before taking the Overground toward White Hart Lane.

Official market food page lists a broad mix of stalls and restaurants; Visit London also positions Old Spitalfields as a food, shopping and market destination near Liverpool Street.

keep with caveat: Official Old Spitalfields Market food page provides current traders and opening-hour guidance; Visit London confirms the market's food/retail role near Liverpool Street.

Itineraries

Home fan: White Hart Lane arrival to matchday build-up

  1. Arrive by Overground to White Hart Lane: 5-minute walk to the stadium.
  2. If arriving earlier, use Seven Sisters or Tottenham Hale for more food and drink options en route.
  3. Pre-match: use the stadium concourse food market and Beavertown craft beers inside — doors open around 90 minutes before kick-off.
  4. The Tottenham Experience club shop is open from hours before kick-off for merchandise.

Door opening time is approximate — check official matchday guide for each fixture.

Away fan: practical and low-risk route

  1. Travel by Overground from Liverpool Street to White Hart Lane, or on the Victoria line to Seven Sisters and walk or take the bus.
  2. Eat and drink before travelling: Seven Sisters market area has affordable street food; Liverpool Street / Shoreditch has wider options.
  3. Near the stadium, use the away section entrance (northeast corner). Check official club away guide for current pub guidance before assuming near-ground pubs are open to away supporters.
  4. Use the official matchday food market inside the away section.

Away fan pub guidance is safety-sensitive. Do not publish specific near-ground pubs as away-safe without current official club away guide confirmation.

Football plus a London trip

  1. Base yourself in Shoreditch / Liverpool Street for the widest restaurant and night-out options plus direct Overground to the stadium.
  2. Pre-match: eat in the city — Spitalfields Market, Brick Lane, Shoreditch High Street all reachable by foot or one stop.
  3. Take the Overground toward Cheshunt from Liverpool Street, exit at White Hart Lane.
  4. Post-match: return on the Overground and explore Shoreditch / Bethnal Green for bars and restaurants.

Venue names in Shoreditch need current checks before specific recommendations. Use area-level guidance only.

Family / stadium tour day

  1. Book a stadium tour or Dare Skywalk experience in advance from the official stadium site — not available on all matchdays.
  2. Arrive by Overground to White Hart Lane.
  3. Use the Market Place food hall for varied, informal food options.
  4. Visit The Tottenham Experience club shop.
  5. If time allows, explore the Bruce Castle Museum (about 15 minutes on foot from the stadium) for north London history.

Tour booking and prices must be checked on the official stadium site before publishing. Bruce Castle Museum hours need verification.

Budget day out

  1. Travel by Overground or Victoria line — no parking needed.
  2. Eat before arriving: Seven Sisters market area has affordable Latin American street food and is 30 minutes on foot or a short bus ride to the stadium.
  3. Stadium concourse food (mid-range pricing) is the inside option; the Market Place in the South Stand has varied options.
  4. Free cycling: Cycle Superhighway 1 starts directly opposite the stadium and runs to Liverpool Street.

Market Place prices need confirmation. Budget assumes travelling without a car and skipping premium tours.
